It can be tricky to add friends, here’s a quick guide

Click on your “page” (icon in the top left corner) and scroll down to “Add friend”. This will bring up a menu (top to bottom):

  • “received friend requests”
  • “search for local users”
  • “search for users you’ve played with”
  • “search with friend code”
  • “sent friend requests”
  1. If you played with someone you like and you want to send them a friend request, then select “search for users you’ve played with” to find them. Then click on their profile picture and you will have two options: 1) “send friend request” and 2) “block”. Select “send friend request”. They may or may not accept.
  2. If you want to request someone but you haven’t played with them, you can search with a friend code. Everyone has a friend code, and you can see yours below your username and your online status (see these on your profile info at the top of your page). Type in a 12-number code and if it’s the correct code you will be able to find the user. Next, use the same process explained when requesting “search for users you’ve played with”.
  3. If you are on the same network as someone else, you can request them with “search for local users”. Your console will automatically search for other nearby consoles that are also searching for local friends. If your console isn’t connected to the internet, the request will be stored and sent when you reconnect.

How to accept friend requests

  1. Go the same menu as you did for requesting someone, but select “received friend requests” at the top of the menu. It will show how many friend requests you have received.
  2. Anybody who sent you any type of friend request will be shown here, now you can choose to just leave it, accept, or decline the friend request. You could also block them if you choose to.

Note about sent friend requests: You can see your current friend requests here. You can choose to delete the friend requests. They will also disappear if the other user declines your request.
