Here are some tips to help you make friends and not enemies online

Never say “Not fair!” when you win, this sends a bad message.
Never say “Go easy on me” or “What a shame!” when you win, this sounds like you want people to let you win, and that that it’s a shame that they couldn’t win!
Saying “What a shame” when somebody else wins, is extremely rude; it sounds like you don’t want anybody else to win!
Do not try to hit the racer in 11th place with a red shell, they’re in the back, there’re struggling, and you just hit them! This is very mean especially on lap three because they can’t come back.
Do not throw items backward at the finish line (this is called back spamming) on lap 3. You finished, it won’t help you and it’s just unnecessary to try to ruin somebody else’s race.
Do not turn around and drive backwards over the finish line before you win, you’re basically waiting to show the other races how slow they are, even if you’re faster than them it’s not worth over doing it. Throwing an item while doing this is even worse.
Unless you have a good reason, don’t immediately hit 1st place, unless you’re trying to get yourself blue shelled.
Having an insulting, rude or inappropriate username. That can upset a lot of people, and this game is meant to be safe for kids, too!
Don’t target just one racer more than the rest. It seems like you’re personally attacking them.
Don’t trail an item in 11th place. Trailing an item is usually fine, as doing it causes other racers to respect your space. But does last place really have to keep away from you?
Using a superhorn in a bottom spot to absolutely destroy another racer at the end of lap 3 is considered mean.
