Coins are possibly the most hated items amongst casual players, why? You can’t hit anybody with them, they “don’t speed you up” and they just look silly. Wrong! Coins increase your speed slightly, and if you collect ten then you will go up to four seconds faster over a full race! That’s often the difference from first and last!
Coins also serve as boo protection–if you get a super horn behind a coin in first place, you often want to hold the coin, so the boo can’t steal the better item. And first place gets stolen from the most 😅
So don’t hate coins — they are essential for bagging and help you go faster!
